Meeting Minutes
June 14, 2011

Present: Betty Lewis, Paul McDonald, Mike Deming, Jim Hutchinson, David Thurston

Certificates of Appropriateness:

17 William St.

Jim Dunster, Contractor – proposal is to replace an existing shed with a permanent 8’ x 8’ shed attached to the building. Access from the exterior only, not through the church. Shed roof with tiles matching the main building. Hardy board siding. Possible clay (dark tan) coloring. Visible from Court St. only.

Steve Selvek – this is not a big impact on visual aesthetics.

Motion to approve made by Jim Hutchinson, seconded by Betty Lewis. All members vote approval. Motion carried.

100 South St.

Steve Selvek – this is a minor window replacement but not in kind. There is one window on the front of the house that is an existing replacement window. They wish to replace this with an aluminum clad wood window.  There are no existing grill patterns on any windows. It is the same type of window we’ve allowed previously.

David Thurston – points out shadowed area around window that may denote the window had at one time been larger.

Motion to approve made by Jim Hutchinson, seconded by Paul McDonald. All members vote approval. Motion carried.

74 South St.

Jim Hutchinson – proposal is to enclose the rear porch with screening.

Motion to approve made by Paul McDonald, seconded by Betty Lewis. All members vote approval. Motion carried.

Mike Deming – the house across from the Stankus house on South St. has a porch that’s been torn off for quite some time. Questions progress and any permits.
